Warts from Massage parlor or beauty salon

by Glen_stewartt, Jun 07, 2009 12:37PM
I have been stressing myself regarding about warts recently and wanted to know if anyone knowledgable out there would know if someone can be infected with common warts from a trip to a massage parlor or beauty salon. Since all the articles I have read it says that HPV is extremely contagious, if this is the case then the hands of the massage therapist or esthetician would probably be covered with warts by the body massages and facials given to the clients.

I dont get the logic here since I have never heard of a case or complaint of catching warts from a massage parlor or beauty salon on the internet, and if warts were extremely contagious like its written in the articles it will probaly mean nearly all of the therapist or estheticians would be wearing latex gloves to protect themselves and their clients but this never happens.

The only reason I can think of is washing hands inbetween servicing a client, so does this mean that washing hands are extremely effective in killing the viruses so that to date it has never caused an infection to a client and prevent the use of latex gloves?Any reliable data regarding this on the internet?
