Warts or Infection

by Plainworried, Sep 19, 2006 12:00AM
Doc,

Thank you for your knowledge base and information. I had unprotected vaginal sex with a female of whom I didn't know approximately 2 1/2 months ago. I have taken all of the available STD tests, all of which, have been negative. Since the encounter, approximately 1 month I ago, I noticed numerous white spots encircling the base of my penis and a single "skin tag" and the base of my penis. I used to shave my genitals and don't remember seeing these abnormalities, so I am worried that it's either warts or an infection.

I have enclosed links to pics for reference. These two links show the white spots which completely encirle my penis. They are slightly raised and 1-2mm in size. Feel free to zoom in on the pictures.

The last, located near the center of the picture is a "skin tag". I don't remember it being there before, but I'm unsure.

Since I discovered the spot I visited Planned Parenthood who stated they didn't appear to be warts. If it's not warts, then what are they? I am looking forward to your opinions and recommendations.  Thank you.

Sorry, but the pictures aren't too helpful.  It sounds as though you're describing pearly penile papules, little white spots that grow in that region and mean nothing.  I doubt that these are of any significance.  They were probably there before, but you only just noticed them.

If you're still concerned, you can get another opinion in person.

Take care.

Hi...........I have some of those white bump things at base of my penis that you describe as normal. I had 2 small ones that were hard and more noticeable to the touch and one day i tried to squeeze them. Well nothing came out and I ended up actually squeezing them between my two thumbnails and actually cutting the skin, removing them. The problem now is that where I cut the skin, it has healed sort of in the form of a smooth bump and as it healed the bump seems to get more pronounced and itchy sometimes. Is` this the way a cut heals on the penis?? Is it like a scar tissue?? I guess I shudnt have done what i did in removing them. My question is can i get rid of this?? I have actually broken the skin again trying to remove this tissue. What can i do??
