About a year ago, I grew what I thought was a mole about 3" above my penis, right behind my belt line. I had never had warts before, so I assumed it was a mole. It was about the size of my index finger nail, pretty round, and was brown with some black "heads" in it. It was not sensitive, and hair did not grow out of it.
A month or so ago, I found out I had some plantar warts. I treated them with a pumice stone and some sal. acid, and they were gone within two weeks. I then researched other types of warts, and found photos of some that looked just like the one near my genitals. I began treating it with sal. acid and the stone, and every day a layer would flake away. It's been about 2 weeks now, and 100 percent of the brown and black is gone. Now there is just a small, slightly raised pink bump where the skin is still kind of raw in the place where the "wart" was, and I have started to get pubic hair growing out of the spot.
Basically, I want to know if the wart is actually gone if there is still a slight bump in the shape of it there (but is no longer what I'd call on the outside of my skin) and what the hair regrowing there means. I've read that if hair grows out of it, it is not a wart.
I unfortunately do not have medical insurance and cannot afford to visit a dermatologist.
