Weeping skin

My mother was just discharged from the hospital for low sodium. She is now experiencing her skin weeping in the area where her socks would be. What could be the problem and what should she do.

For the past two months I have had a problem with my right shin weeping from two small holes.My skin over all is very itchy but the legs are horribly so. I am nearly 62. A culture made a couple weeks ago showed a staph infection. Am on antibiotics & for a few days the weeping actually stopped but is now doing a much slower version. Am also using an antihistimine med that helps somewhat with the itching, but I am covered with scabs from scsatching so much. Is there anytthing more I could be doing?
