Weird Circular Bumps All over body

Hi there. I'm a 28 yr old female. I have small red spots all over my trunk, hips, legs and buttocks. They look like ringworm but are not. The are very scaly and seem to peel on the inside of the circle only. They itch a little and dont hurt at all. I have seen two doctors. The last one said it looked fungal and prescribed me a round of bactrim and prednisone and had me putting some sort of steroid cream on them. They have gotten a little better but just lightened in color. I remember having an outbreak of scaly patches like this once when I was around 12 or 13. I took prednisone then too and they went away.

What is this??? It's driving me nuts.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
One possibility is of pityriasis rosea which is very common on trunk and extremities. Pityriasis rosea is a common human skin disease which presents as numerous patches of pink or red oval rash. The rash may be accompanied by low-grade headache, fever, nausea and fatigue and itching. Topical and oral steroids are needed. Water, sweat, and soap may cause irritation and should be avoided in the disease. Topical zinc oxide and calamine lotion are useful for pruritus.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
