Weird Pimple.

Hi. I got what looked like a pimple at first, but eventually grew a lot bigger than what I consider a pimple would and I have NO idea what it could be. It popped and a lot of puss came out, but the bad part about it, it's that now I have a huge hole where it was. It didn't and doesn't itch or hurt, except that not it stings a little bit, but nothing big. Does anyone have any idea what it could be and what can I do? Thanks beforehand.

Hi ,

Where is this pimple located? How did it start?

This may be a boil. A boil is a skin infection usually caused by Staphyloccocus aureus, a bacteria that normally thrives in the skin.It usually starts as a reddish bump that rapidly enlarges into a red and tender lump. It contains a lot of pus which drains after a few hours to days.

If this is the case, get an initial consult with your physician. You may need oral antibiotics. Apply warm compress over the area to alleviate the pain and swelling.

Hello. I had a buddy that had a huge sized pimple on the left side of this torso. He said it first appeared when he was serving Iraq.  It had stayed on him for a really long time      (6 months) so he went to get it checked out. The doctor told him it was a "Super Bug" and that it was pretty rare that he had caught it. A Super Bug is a massive pimple that will not go away, my buddy had to get it frozen off.

My advice, if it does not go away in a month or two, surely get it checked out.
