Weird bug bit looking thing on my leg.

The other night when I was sleeping I woke up because the top of my thigh was extremly itchy, so at first I thought it was just a spider bite, or maybe a mosquito bite. However when I woke up in the morning it hurt and itched. A couple days later and it doesn't itch anymore it just hurts a lot and now there's this black dot in the middle of it. The "bite" is now about the size of a dime and the skin around it is very tender. I'm not sure what this is, or what to do about it. Should I go see a doctor? Or should I just leave it alone ? Please help

It looks like an insect bite. You can take some antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. Although the bite may be itchy, avoid scratching it because you may damage the skin, and allow bacteria to get in, leading to infection.

If the symptoms persist then get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
