Weird patches of dry skin

I have this very dry rough patch on my elbow, have tried everything. Also behind my ears dry skin is constantly falling off so much that I sometimes make myself bleed from trying to get it off, is also beginning to show up inside one of my ears (at least I think). I do not know what to use anymore.   I am also getting severe adult acne, hair is falling out on my head but growing everywhere else.  Does all of this just come with age? I am 39.

It can be due to dry skin, seborrheic dermatitis or eczema. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky,dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. You can treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos.

I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and discuss these options with him.
