What are these? HPV warts? Mollusca? Something else?
I'm really stressing over what these are. I noticed them about 2 months ago, so I went to an urgent clinic about 1.5 months ago (specialists were all booked). The doctor told me everything looked normal, even though I knew those bumps weren't there before. But perhaps foolishly, I did not seek a second opinion at that time.
Other important stuff worth noting:
-I had my last pap
activity involving the anus.
-From what I've noticed, these lesions did not grow appreciably in size until a few days ago, when I went to shave my bikini line.
-The skin of the vulva
where the lesions are feels dry and sore at times.
-Sometimes I can feel the presence of the anal lesion.
I'd really like to know what these are/might be, as well as what to expect in terms of diagnostic tests and procedures. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
What do the bumps/lesions look like? I currently have molluscum so if they are the same color as your skin and possibly have an indented core in the middle it might be that. Good luck to you.
Hello,
These can be external hemorrhoids, folliculitis, cysts ,molluscum contagiosum(multiple, small, dome-shaped papules, often with a central depression or plug) or genital warts(caused by HPV infection).
Symptoms of external hemorrhoids may include painful swelling or a hard lump around the anus which may itch. Please consult a dermatologist and get it evaluated.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
