What are these birthmark like spots?

I am 17 and I should not be developing birthmarks. However, for a little less than a year, these strange spots have been appearing. What are they? I have done research and I do not believe they are cancerous, but I guess you can never be too sure. Please help!

I have tinea versicolor this seems similar.... don't laugh but try selsun blue yes its dandruff shampoo but what u do is spread it over your spots like lotion let it sit for at least ten min or you can put on a loose fitting tee and chill while u catch up on TV or something then wash it off in the shower once to twice a week something in the shampoo combats the yeast. Also don't be alarmed if when your redness goes away if your skin seems bleached this is what happens and with time it should get back to normal. Sorry if you have already googled this or have seen a focus and its old news I am new to this forum and just saw your post. Good luck!!!!
