What are these tiny blisters on my face

Dear Dr. Rockoff,
I have had tiny blisters on my fingers, palms and toes that come and go for several years. They don't cause any problem except some itching. This seems to be the same thing that several other people have descibed in their questions and does not need any treatment. However three months ago I went through a few weeks of intense stress and at that time a patch of these blisters appeared on my forehead. They are still no better and a few days ago my chin and neck also came out in these tiny blisters. They are defintely not spots. It is unsightly and quite itchy. What could it be? I do have dry skin that is sensitive to metal and some skin products.

Your hand problem sounds like what's called dyshidrotic eczema. This is not usually associated with eczema anywhere else, so I'm not sure what the story is with your forehead--perhaps that's a mild irritation of some sort. Hydrocortisone 1% might help either condition, though you needn't bother with the palm rash unless it bothers you. If the problems persist, a skin doctor can prescribe a prescription-strength cream.
