What can this be?

Hi,

For the last seven years I had some type of skin infection around my anus and genitals. The skin around my anus is very irritated. It looks red and shiny, although I feel no pain or burning. sometimes it itches a lot. Over the years I have tried many remedies with no improvement and now the irritation has spreaded to my genital area including my scrotum and the base of my penis. In my genitals I have a round patch of red, dry flacky skin as well as in the base of my penis. My scrotum area is redish and becomes very itchy specially when I sweat. I have read several postings from people with similar simptoms yet, I'm not certain I have the same condition. What can this be? Please help. Would it be appropriate to load a photo of the affected area?
