. She said all she saw was tiny red smooth dots all over my scalp and told me she thought it was chiggers. Later on, my brother looked and told me they were smooth, tiny red dots too, but said they were not chiggers. Other than going to the doctor (my appointment is the 11th of August), can you help me. I mow the grass every 5-6 days and my scalp sweats
Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like infected hair follicles.the other possibilities are of lice or fungal infections. Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
