What is it?

I have a white spot on the back, left side of my tongue about half the size of a pea.  It also looks like I bit the side of my tongue (but haven't).  I have had this for a couple of months now.  It does not hurt or bother me at all.  A few weeks ago I had a cold sore on my lip but there was a hard bump next to it and the bump was there first, which eventually developed a white head and I was able to pop.  A new "pimple" appeared on the other side of my lip last week, same thing; a white head appeared and I was able to pop it.  I have been with a new partner in the last six months and we have had unprotected sex, including oral.  Are these things related and do I have an STD?

This doesn't sound like an STD but I can't really say without seeing it.  It's probably a cyst of some sort.  You ought to have a doctor or dentist have a look.  More than likely you won't have to do anything about it but at least you'll know what it is.

Best.
