I was taking a shower and I had recognize a hard bump that was almost a 1/2 of a 1 inch now, on the left side of my vaginal labia mojora.  I ask a doctor about this before and they said it could be what was commented back in another post similar o my post.(Syst) My period has came and it is just another 1.4 of a 1 inch. This thing scares me because when I had it checked out before, I was not sexually active.  Now it got bigger, now that I am sexual active and I have my period. What help should I get from the doctor or what could be wrong? Please give me some good advise. I have a partner and  I don't want to put his lifes health in danger if this bump is bad.I would also want good information for my life as well.

To: Nicole901,
Hello,
From the symptoms, it looks like Bartholin’s cyst. There are glands in the vaginal lips called Bartholin’s glands. These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form. This often causes blockage in the main duct from the gland, and a cyst develops. This is felt as a painless, hard swelling. In such cases, antibiotics may be helpful, or surgical treatment might be required.

My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist/ gynecologist. This possibility has to be probed and if negative then other causes need to be investigated.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.

Doc, I have no pain and I actually made it sound very big. Forgive me my numbers are wrong.  It is in the right area, I describe it to be near the right place. It's not Inside,it's outside. Please inform me of the causes of this bump and how to  prevent it. Thankyou that will be all my questioning.

To: Nicole901,
Hello,
If it is painless and on the outside, then it can be a sebaceous cyst. Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected, Then surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
