although whenever I checked,my temperature remained normal. Then the day after,I noticed some pink/red dots on my wrists. It was really small (1mm or even smaller) and there was a zone of it.Then i found it on my neck and near the chest (but not a lot of it ,about 9-10 dots). It is not itchy or anything. The surface seems to be quite rough and noticeable if you touch it.And when you see it under light,it is quite luminous somehow.I'm pretty sure I dont have fever ,sorethroat. But this makes me think it would be chickenpox/rash caused by HIV.Although, the period of 2-3 days after having sex is almost impossible for any symtomps to occur.Am I right ? Anyway,I'm still really scared by the possibility of inffected by HIV. So please can anyone help me out with this ? I would deeply appreciate that.
It's hard to say whether you caught an infection or not by a few rashes on your body, as these could also be triggered by anxiety. If you've had chicken pox, this could also be shingles, which is a form of chicken pox adults can get. It is not related to HIV and is not sexually transmitted. That being said, why not get checked out anyway? It will answer all your questions and put your mind to rest.
Anyway,do you guys know how long after possible exposure to HIV do the symtomps of the early phase occur ? I heard that people in common would get a rash after 2 weeks or more. But what does the rash of HIV looks like ? Is it like chickenpox or shingle ? Maybe I'm just over-reacting but I just wanna make sure everything's fine.
Hello,
Many people do not develop symptoms after they first get infected with HIV. Others have a flu-like illness within several days to weeks after exposure to the virus. So your chances of showing symptoms of HIV are less likely for HIV infection. Yet for your satisfaction you can get ELISA test done to rule out HIV. Confirmation is only done by specific tests for HIV like western blot,PCR and ELISA. These tests may show accuracy after 6 weeks to 6 months as HIV antibodies take time to develop in the body.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
