What kind of birth mark do I have?

I was born with a mark on the skin my cheek bone. It has maintained the same look and characteristics threw out the years, and has grown with me. It resembles a 1'' long 1/8'' wide laceration scar, it is light pink in color most of the time. The color, and amount that it's raised above the changes when I excursive, or become upset. Turning bright red and erect. It also has large deep pores. I am fair skinned. Often times people ask if it's poison ivy.

What kind of birth mark does this sound like?

It sounds like "strawberry hemangioma" though most disappear after 9 yrs. of age.  It may be removed surgically.
