White Bloches.

Hello I need some help. I am going to a dermatologist next week (again) since the first one did not give me any help. I need to find out if there is ANYTHING I can do about this white bloches on my legs. They are making me miserable. Yes I have tanned, and quite a bit, but I don't think I have tanned more than anyone else has or overdone it by any means. Is this just sun damage or is it a skin condition or cancer? Can it be fixed other than trying to cover up with makeup?  Please someone HELP me figure out what I can do.

Thank you for listening.

Hello,

It is 2 to 5-mm flat white spots found on the shins and forearms. It can be due to sun damage or ageing. Treatment options include protection from the sun, cryotherapy, dermabrasion or microdermabrasion, tretinoin cream or pinch grafts of normal pigmented skin. I suggest you to get an evaluation done from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Hello,
From the picture it resembles idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis. Basically idiopathic means “without cause”, hypomelanosis means “light discoloration” and guttate means “ tear dropped”. So get these depigmented areas examined from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
You can post your pictures in your profile on the forum itself. Also consult a dermatologist and get a biopsy skin done to confirm the diagnosis. It is the best test for confirming a skin disease.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

H! Thank you for your response. I would really like to send you picture of my legs and you let me know what you think. How can I send you pictures? Through and email? or is there another way? They are only on my shins and one just appeared on my arm. The doctor gave me Locoid Cream and Econazole Cream to use for 2 weeks and I go back May 31st to see if it has helped any, but I have seen no change. What you are saying sounds like it might be right. If I can have your opinion before I go there that would be great so that I can give her something to work with. Thank you so much and hope to hear from you. I just really want some answers, I can hardly look down at my legs and I'm only 22 years old!

Hello,
From the symptoms idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis needs to be ruled out. It is 2 to 5-mm flat white spots found on the shins and forearms. It can be due to sun damage or ageing. I don't think my images are working. Any suggestions for another website? Note: I don't believe this is Viltigo. These are angular white bloches that just started appearing this year.
