White Bumps Upper Lip -- Possible Herpes?

White Bumps Upper Lip -- Possible Herpes?

Hey Doctor,

A couple of nights ago, I had unprotected oral sex with a female of unknown status of any sort.  I was performing oral on her for a very short period (less than a minute, probably only a few seconds).  I quit doing it because the smell was too much for me.  Since then, I have noticed what appears to be little white bumps/spots on my upper lip which are not easily visible unless you spread the lip or apply pressure on the certain areas.  The spots are on the outer portion of the lip (the portion of the lip that is visible with the mouth closed) and not on the under part of the upper lip (the more moist area).  These spots are not painful, and they might have been here all along, because I have never looked this closely before.  The spots are spread from corner to corner on my upper lip.  Any help will be appreciated.

Most likely you have Fordyce's condition, oil glands visible against the pink background of the lip.  In all probability they were there before, but your anxiety caused you to notice them.  Have a doctor take a look next time you see one.

Best.
