White bumps on scrotum

I'm an 18 year old male, and I have a few concerns about two white bumps on my scrotum. One has recently gotten bigger, and they occasionally itch and it hurts if pressure is applied. I've been sexually active with only one person so I don't think it's an std, but I'm still worried .. Would anyone be able to tell me what it is?

Hello,
For such kind of bumps, it is preferable to consult a dermatologist but if you don’t have an access to a dermatologist , you can get it examined from your general physician and get the diagnosis confirmed.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

I really appreciate your input. Would you know if I have to consult a specialist to get properly diagnosed, or could I jus visit any doctor?

Hello,

It looks like bacterial skin infection and multiple folliculitis/ boils/ cysts which are infected. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus.

Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. Also please consult a dermatologist as you may need oral antibiotics.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
