White bumps under my skin that become pimples

by anitaca, Nov 04, 2009 05:57PM
Hello, ive posted a question about my acne before back in May.
And during the months of May, Jun, Jul, and Aug.. my acne was almost ALL GONE. but lately ive noticed that it is coming back again.
First i noticed all these little white bumps on my face.. then slowly one would get irritated and become a pimple! (note that i would NEVER pick at the little white bumps)
but now it is getting worse and im getting two or three pimples on my cheeks and around my mouth as well as on my chin.

Ive been using clearasil daily face wash since March. I use to use neutragena.. but it dried out my face and really irritated my skin.

ive been using mineral make up and i only where make up when i HAVE TO. so im almost never wearing anything but lotion on my face.

I really would like for someone to help me out because i was soo happy when my acne was going away.. and now that is re-appearing i feel like its a step back from all my progress!

To: anitaca,
Hello,
From your symptoms it looks like that your acne are caused by excess oils that have accumulated in the sebaceous gland's duct.

Cleanse the area thoroughly and apply a good mild exfoliating scrub on that. Apply a medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.

If the symptoms still persist then please consult a dermatologist. Topical and oral antibiotics may be needed. Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Kind regards.
