White dots, not vitiligo or fungus

For more than 10 years now I've been getting these white dots, mainly on my hands (both front and back), but also on my feet and sometimes they stretch up on my legs and arms. The dots are not "constant", meaning that they appear and dissapear depending on for example, how tired I am, and what vertical angle my arms and legs are in. I have realized that it must have something to do with pressure. If i let my arms fall down to the side, the dots appear almost instantly. It looks as if you press your finger against the skin, the skin under pressure becomes pale and when you let go it returns to your normal color. Tanned or not does not make any difference. It seems as if there would be some kind of fatbumps beneath the skin that when my hands and feet are filled with blood puts pressure on the skin from the inside. I have no idea what this is and what can be done to remove or reduce the condition. It is very annoying and affects my life since I will do anything I can to avoid people from seeing this. I would be extremely greatful if anyone could just give a name for this condition. Without a name I could never find a treatment. I have seen this on other people and it might be so that everyone has it more or less, but in other people it could be just a single dot, on me it it could be hundreds. I'm not 100% sure they appear on the same place every time, so maybe it has nothing to do with "bumps" under the skin. I'm aware that the attached photo is very blurry, and it's also taken on a day when the spots are not that visible!

Hi Anders,

It looks like a condition called Bier's Spots. I've had exactly the same thing since the age of 7 and I just came across this condition today, so am really pleased to finally have a name for it. It's a vascular (circulatory) issue and not a dermatological issue, so don't go to a dermatologist or any sort of skin specialist as they only specialise in the superficial dermis of the skin, so to a vascular specialist. At least we have a name for it now!!

Hope you get some answers, and let me know what they suggest for treatment!

It is difficult to me to diagnose your strange spots condition.
According to my knowledge all skin condition those cause white spots in skin are mentioned at http://www.vitiligoguide.com/white-spots-on-skin/
It is better for you first search in google image after reading above page regarding white spots diseases by name. see the images and compare with your spots.

If you seem any one of them match with your spots then as a question post an medhelp about that conditions. I hope due to this practice you may easily diagnose your skin condition.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

I may not be able to give you definite diagnosis for this but this may be associated with hypopigmented areas of the skin. I suggest that you have these assessed by a dermatologist. A wood's lamp examination may be able to help ascertain if there are indeed hypopigmented areas in the skin as these may not be evident especially in fair skinned people. You may not need immediate intervention for this as aside from cosmetic reasons they are asymptomatic. Fungal infections, pityriasis alba and vitiligo are differentials concerning white patches on the skin.
