White patch on penis

White patch on penis

Saw my GP last week, he diagnosed it as Lichen Simplex. It doesn't itch and never has. I noticed the area about 3-4 weeks ago. I don't have any STD symptoms. He prescribed a steroid cream but the condition has not improved so it must be something else. I have an appointment with my GP on Friday, he will probably do a biopsy and send me to the dermatologist. I'm looking for some other opinions on what it could be. Same two areas are pictured. I would add a photo on here but they are way too small. Looking for peace of mind.

Pic NSFW.

Hello,
It can be due to lichen planus, eczema skin or psoriasis skin. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules(flat spots) or rashes. Treatment is available only on prescription and consists mainly of steroids, retinoids, hydroquinone and phototherapy.

Confirmation can only be done by biopsy skin.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
