White patches / Discoloration of penis head

by jd1234, Apr 28, 2007 12:00AM
Hi, I'm a 19 year old uncircumcised male.

I have been getting white/grey patches on the head/glans of my penis, and they have gradually been spreading and getting worse over the last 6 months. I now have 3 patches on the penis head, some are large and others are smaller. The patches together cover about 50% of the glans. I also have small bits of white hard skin developing under my foreskin and also on the glans, these sometimes peel off when in the shower.

I do have vitiligo on my skin so it could be this, but I think it's far more likely to be something else, like an infection.

It is not a sexually transmitted infection as I have not had sex before.

It is hard to explain this with words, so I have included some links to some pictures below.

What could this be, what is the name of it? and is there anything (such as creams) I could use to treat it?

Any information would be really appreciated!

Thanks.

Possibly a yeast infection, though the fact that it's been there for 6 months argues against that.  Try an over-the-counter anti-yeast cream (like clotrimazole 1%) and see a skin doctor, so you'll know for sure.  It does not look like anything serious or sexually-transmitted, however.

Best.

Look at this site www.rootsherbal.com
They have treatments for just about everything including vitiligo, white skin patches,  dark circles under eyes, bags under eyes, stretch marks etc and they also have a good feedback rating so worth having a look at.
