White spots on my back

I tan very darkly in the summer (not in tanning bed).  As I have faded from my summer tan, I now have many white round marks on my upper back.  These are symetrical and are dispersed in a pattern from shoulder blades to my bra strap in a "V" shape.  They are not raised or sore.  I thought it was just my tan fading and my husband tried to scrub my back with a loufa but this didn't make the color change.  They have not spread anywhere else and remain as I found them in September.  There are approx 50 small pea sized spots.

To: Cindy393,
Hello,
It can be due to tinea versicolor. Tinea versicolor is caused by a fungus that lives in the skin of almost all adults. Factors that can cause the fungus to become more visible include high humidity and immune or hormone abnormalities. Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines. Most cases of fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.
If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
