Whitehead looking bumps on penile shaft

I recently had sexual intercourse with a partner i have shared with for some time now.  It is the only person i have slept with in past 9 months, but we sleep together fairly frequently.  Late one morning (2 days ago)  we had sex numerous times.  Later that night we proceeded in having sex 3 more times.  The last time i noticed my penis felt a little raw (like a friction burn).  The following day it felt the same, never bothering me unless my pants rubbed aganist it.  Last night (being the next night after sex) i noticed tiny white bumps, that look just like whiteheads on your face, on my penile shaft just below the head.  there is a group of 4 or 5, with 1 or 2 to either side.  That itch slightly but not too bad.  I was just wondering what this is and what could be done to cure it.  will bumps go away?  if they do, how long until they do?  I thought all along it was just due to friction from the amount of intercourse, but i was a bit more worried when i noticed the bumps.  Thanks in advance for any and all help

They can be due to small irritated hair follicles or clogged pores. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
