Why is my hair acting like this?

by Syadav, Jun 08, 2009 08:23PM
up until 18 years of age my hair was very silky, shiny and STRAIGHT. However, over the last 2 years my hair has become unmanageable. It has become brittle, frizzy and it is not straight anymore. some hairs point upwards...some in random directions. its a new story everyday. how come my hair was perfect for 18 years and then suddenly this happened? could there be any internal or hormonal causes to this? I take good care of my hair. i keep it clean, shampoo regularly.

Iron deficiency in women is a common cause for hair losing shine, apart from other external causes of ill treating the hair by too much of harsh cleansing etc.Best to take nutritious food, and supplements if necessary.Older persons may need a thyroid test.
