Worried About Herpes

by jxmnba, Jun 15, 2007 12:00AM
The last 3 weeks, I’ve had a weekly “bump” on my upper lip (on skin under nose).  The first was right side, last two have been left.  They’ve been progressively less painful.  The first one I scratched off and it bled, then scabbed– big scab, twice as big as the bump, that lasted a few days.  The 2nd went away on its own (with camphor) and didn’t scab.  The 3rd broke on its own and produced something white/yellowish and thick.  It turned into a pinpoint scab that has lasted 1.5 days.

When #2 appeared, I went to the doctor.  She said it didn't look like much and brought another doctor who didn't look that closely, but confidently said “whitehead”

I have been moving and active recently, so maybe sweat stuck to my mustache and caused zits, but I do have other weird symptoms:

1. Irritation on my inner thighs, where the thighs meet my scrotum, on both sides.  I've had this issue before after working out, so I've been assuming that it's just that.  Was painful, now just a little itchy.

2. My left nipple, the bottom half of it, has been itchy for a while.  I just examined it more closely, and it looks a little like herpes (maybe?).  Specifically, there is a slightly raised area that itches – it looks like a scab, but also a little moist (as if it had clear liquid inside?).  A photo: http://i210.photobucket.com/albums/bb115/jxmnba/0615072003.jpg.  It’s not as raised or prominent as it looks there, but that’s the gist.  No pain.

Could any of this be herpes?

No.  My diagnosis is nondescript bumps plus herpes anxiety.  You've already seen doctors who felt that you don't have herpes.  Time to believe them and move on.

Best.

Doctor I am concerned abt herpes.  I had unprotected sex 18 days ago. There are no visible sores till now.  But since first week I am feeling fatigue and having muscle ache(Joint pains) and still remains.  What is the possibility of herpes.

If I were you I'd get a second opinion if and when you have another flare up. From what I understand they can only get an accurate test if a person is actually having an outbreak of herpes.   Best wishes to you and my prayers are with you.

I have noticed for the past weeks small pimlpes on the insides of my buttocks they have now seemed to spread. They dont cause me any discomfort. I have a new partner for the past 4 months. We both have been tested and are clean. Do you think this is anything I should be concerned about?

Hi i have had a small dark dot right below the head of my penis. im not sure how long it has been there it never hurts or bothers me but im not sure what it is. There are no out breaks of any kind. Is this something that can be removed does this sound like herpes to you im very stressed and worried about what this could be.
