Worried about problems am I ok?

by ugonnalose, Jun 11, 2007 12:00AM
I woke up almost four weeks ago to find that my penis had a weird cluster of spots on the head of it..I have never had penis skin problems untill now.. I have been in a relationship for over 2 years and can not figure out whats wrong with me. The bumps do not hurt and do not appear to be full of any fluid. They turn white if u pick at it like a scab but do not go away. recently I started to notice more bumps (Red dots) coming in under the head of my penis on the forskin on both sides.. I had to take pictures because I am not good at explaining.. Also I have had wierd bumps on my scrotum for years and could never figure out what they were..

I think you have lichen planus.  This is a fairly common, nonserious, nonsexual condition of no known cause.  When it affects the penis, it's pretty easy to control using mild but prescription-strength cortisone creams.  Let a dermatologist take a look and meantime, check out the  scrotum bumps, which are almost certainly normal.  You don;t have to avoid sex or any other activity if you have this condition--just treat it from time to time when it becomes visible.

Best.
