Wrinkles

by Lori-Ann Parkes, Aug 19, 1999 12:00AM
I have been using Retin A for the fine wrinkles around my eyes for about ten months now...and I don't really see a change.  Should I keep using it longer or is this treatment just not effective for me?

Lori-Ann:

It's possible that a stronger form of Retin-A than the one you're now using might help, but in fact Retin-A doesn't do all that much for lines, even fine ones.  Other treatments you might wasnt to look into include:
chemical peeling (especially with TCA)
laser resurfacing with the erbium or C)2 laser

I recommend you consult one or more practitioners in your area who are experienced in these and similar treatments.  Properly done, they're quite safe, not drastic, and often quite helpful.

Best.
