Doctor:
Is there any reversing damage to the skin from the sun? Are there any creams/lotions that help restore skin in the winter to help restore skin from the sun? If skin damage is not visable on the skin surface could there be damage which is not noticeable?
Lastly, Are self tanners all harmless and are there any that do not rub off on clothing when perspiring?

The medication most effective at reversing sun damage is a Retin-A. Using this over a period of time, measured in months, can not only make the skin look better but even appear better under the microscope. Maintaining the improvement can be done by continuing a Retin-A on intermittent basis.
Other treatments to region and make the skin include glycolic acid or alpha hydroxy acids, chemical peels, and laser resurfacing. You should consult an experienced physician to see whether any or several of these are relevant to you.
Self-tanners are safe. I don't know much about their washability, though.

do I need to visit with my doctor to obtain retin-A
My skin is light is someplace and dark in other. but the light spot is gradually take over the bark spot. when I'm taking a shower the dark spot lighten a bit but it seem if i continue to scub more dead cell will come off. what should I do. I would love to be even tone or close to it.
would retin-A work and also a shower gel or saop be helpful also
please help
