Yeast infection, wrong diagnosis?

Yeast infection, wrong diagnosis?

So I recently visited the emergency room regarding a mystery infection I had on on my legs and across my stomach. I had been having a problem itch that would keep me from getting full nights of sleep and it had all around started negatively effecting the quality of my life. After spreading to my groin area I couldn't take it anymore and went to the hospital. I lack health insurance and funds for private doctors so the hospital was pretty much my only option. I was seen, looked at, and then told it was a yeast infection. Jock itch the doctor called it. Such a common problem with men but having no idea what fungal infections looked like I never would have come to that diagnosis myself. So I left after being given an anti fungal pill and a prescription for Econazole Nitrate feeling like an idiot for having just left the ER with jock itch. A week or so later my prescription was out and the infection had left my groin area but spread to the backs of my upper thighs (on the left side more so than the left). I got a tube of lotrimin after the Econazole was out and recently just finished it. Now the infection is worse than ever (aside from not being in my groin or stomach area) and there's a patch on my left underarm. I also feel it coming to my elbows and the backs of my left calf. I really need this taken care of but I've already got a hospital bill and definitely cant afford a private doctor now. It seems to be worse some days more so than others.
The picture I included with this question is of the side of my left thigh where the majority of the problem seems to be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
It does not sound like yeast infection because after using antifungals , it is very difficult for yeast infection to persist. However diagnosis can be confirmed only after KOH examination of the skin scrapings. From the symptoms, the  possibility of other skin rashes like sweat dermatitis, eczema or scabies( presents as very itchy red blister like bumps) also need to be ruled out. Unfortunately although your finances do not allow it, but the diagnosis needs to be made.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
