Yeast infection wrong diagnoses?

Hi,
I had a rash on my penis for a while, I went to the doctor he prescribed me Clotrimazole and Triacinolone Acetonide....after putting that for about 1 month it doesnt seem to help...The rash is hard to describe I would describe it as...imagine swollen skin which heals and is now stretched and thin also very shine in the right lighting and soft like glass...Does anyone have any suggestions??? It doesn't bother me at all its right under the foreskin it doesn itch or anything doesn't seem to get bigger either, is there any way i had a fungus which healed and left that rash type of mark? And also the doctor tested me for all type of stds all negative.

Hi doctor I went and saw a dermatologist, which told me its not a fungus, just irritated. That sounded a little odd to me, because the rash has been there for a few months now, anyways he prescribed me triamcinolone 0.025%, Ketconazole 2%, and Bacitra/Polym (FO), they mixed all those together and I am supposed to put it on every night, I ve been doing this for 2 weeks now its getting a little better but its still noticeable, what do you think I should do?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be chafing, fungal infection or dermatitis skin. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
