Yet another HPV question

by boredatwork, Feb 26, 2007 12:00AM
I have yet another question about HPV.  Last tuesday morning I had sex for the first time in 6 years with my gf.  Later that day or early wednesday I noticed a patch of what looked like pimples appeared in my pubic hair area, and a few on the bottom of the shaft of my penis.  Some of them had white heads and some of them didnt.  I thought they were just pimples and didnt think anything of it.  In the following days they began to itch with some slight pain.  Friday night/Saturday morning I noticed some red bumps on the head of my penis under the foreskin and a few red bumps about half way up the shaft.  Tonight when I looked at them I noticed some of them had scabbed but there is no drainage that I can see.  Also some more red bumps on the head under the foreskin and occurred.  I have noticed that the itching and pain has been eased when I am taking a hot shower.  This has never happened to me before and like always, a condom was used.  She doesnt seem to have anything like this and she doesnt feel any discomfort.  Does this sounds like it could be HPV?

No.  Warts don't come on suddenly in so many different areas (head, shaft, etc.)  They don't look like scabbed bumps either.  I guess they're probably clogged pores from friction, perhaps scabbed from picking.  But to really know what they are, I suggest you see a doctor and that you do it soon, not because I'm afraid they're bad news but because if you wait till they disappear, the doctor won't be able to do more than guess at what they are.

Best.
