about dime sized red bump with white in center which pused recently,in the groin area what is it

i have this red dime sized bump in my groin area by my pubic hair iv had it sence october of 08 when it started it poped out of nowhere as a black dot under my skin and then started pusing all of the sudden  and the pus smelled very bad.then it stoped for a while but still had a bump there the bump was red i picked at it and squeezed it cause i didnt know what it was.it still hasent gone away and just the other week the black dot came back and i picked st it then the black dot came out it was like 5 or 6 hairs all in one spot.next it had some rough whit skin over it then the skin came off and now it has a hole the size off 2 pin points with a white center and is red around the edges.what is it is it ingrown hair or herpies (herpes)
