. My cycles are irregular, but I visited gynaecologist and she said everything is ok. My dermatologist gave me for therapy Sona gel by night, during the day Klindamicin gel/ 3 weeks and then neutral creams, Hiramycin caps a 100mg 2x1/7days, then 1x1/2weeks, and UV protection. What do You think about it? My problem started when I heard that Klindamicin gel can´t be bought in my country. Do You know any good replacement for that medication? If not can I use only Sona gel and pills? I´m also afraid to use Sona gel because pharmacist told me that there are side effect such as black spots
. Can you tell me from your experience do I have a reason to be afraid if I´m in the sun a lot? How do I apply Sona gel? The dermatologist said to apply it to my hole face and back, but in notes for the medication says on the damaged spot? For now I´m taking Doksiciklin caps a 100mg which my GP administered instead Hyramicin. I´m looking forward to Your reply. Thank You so much!
Hello,
Unfortunately I am unaware of sona gel but clindamycin is one the best treatments for acne vulgaris. Continue taking the doxycycline capsules and try for cleocin gel which contains clindamycin. Also keep you face clean by washing with a mild soap atleast twice a day.Pat it dry and do not rub it.Avoid picking or pressing the acne. You can also use Benzoyl peroxide 5% lotion or gel once at bedtime. An amount of lotion the size of a pea should be enough to cover most of your face. If your skin becomes red or peels, you are using too much of the medicine or applying it too often.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Thank You! You have helped a lot! I just wanted You to know that sona gel is a product in our country that contains adapalen (1mg) and other helpful supstances. So if You can tell me what you think of it, it would be great, but nevertheless You have helped me decide what to do... :)
Hello,
Adaplene is a topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment of mild-moderate acne. Adapalene controls acne but does not cure it. Medications similar to adapalene have caused tumors in laboratory animals who were given the medications and exposed to real or artificial sunlight. It is not known whether adapalene increases the risk of tumors in humans. But it is advisable to protect yourself from sunlight and sunlamps while taking adapalene.
