adipose hyperplasia in the face

adipose hyperplasia in the face

I am a female 57 years old. Everybody tells me I have  beautiful skin, yet in the past three years I started noticing bumps in the chin area of my face. Two different dermatologists have diagnosed it as Adipose Hyperplasia and supposedly there is not much one can do to cure it. Accutane may help but I am terrified to use it as the rest of my skin is very nice.  It keeps getting worse and noticeable and I it is now appearing in my nose and forehead area.  Is there anything I may use to at least minimize it.  By the way, it started appearing after menapause. Thanks for any information

I assume you mean sebaceous hyperplasia (overgrowth of oil glands.)  These can be treated by lightly cauterizing them.  I think that would be a much better approach than Accutane.  There's no way to prevent them

Best.

I think your problem is Herpes which is spread through facial sex...  Get some Valtrix and as time (years) pass by you will have less out breaks.

Have you doctor do a blood test for Herpes and let me know what he said after the test results come back.  Not interested without lab results.

Forget what the doctor tells you, they only guess.  Most Derm Docotrs want even do lab work
