Such condition is seen in Fungal infections as well as Psoriasis.
The doctor is probably doing the right thing by giving you both antifungal and psoriasis(ciprox) treatment.
The results of the fungal test may come negative inspite of a fungal infection.
I would like to say that you may keep some faith and let this course of treatment finish before making any other decisions.
