allergy to sulfa

by belladonna, Jun 16, 2001 12:00AM
I've known I was allergic to sulfa ever since I was 6 or so(it makes me break out in a bad rash), but I just recently found out that it's in antibacterial soaps. Up until then, I used dial my whole life, but I don't know what I should use now. I either need to know the names of bodywashes I can use, or the names of the sulfa ingredients I can't use, as they would be listed on the products.

I HAVE JUST BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH LICHEN PLANTUS WHICH I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF BEFORE. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS ON WHAT COULD OF CAUSED THIS. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN A STEROID SHOT AND BEEN RX A CREAM, BUT THE DOCTORS SAY IT MAY TAKE A MONTH OR TWO TO GO AWAY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT SO I DON'T GET IT AGAIN?
