anal irration

I have been experiencing this problem for about 6 years now.  I have severe anal itching but it only happens at night.  When I itch I allows have a yeasty substance on my fingers.  Even if I don't itch it off I have this yeast type substance around my anal area.  I know have what seems to be an open cut or abrasion which causes bleeding.  What could this be and what should I do.

Anal itch is very common.  There's usually no particular cause.  it's best to wipe yourself with anything gentle, apply emollients like Vaseline or Aquaphor regularly, and get a prescription for a cortisone derivative for intermittent use.  It will probably never go away completely, but you can keep it comfortable.  See a doctor for definitive diagnosis.

Best.
