angel kiss?

i have what looks like a pimple on my nose..its been there for like at least 5 years or so but my mom says its just a birthmark called an "angel kiss" people are always saying oh you have a pimple on ur nose..if that is what it is..can i be removed?

My mom has had one like that since i was born and im 31 you can see a dermatologist to see if you can remove it and make sure its not something else my mom never had hers removed but she wants to go to your doctor and get a refferel to see specialist.

Salmon Patches are common birth-marks which are also called angel kisses and stork bites.  Salmon patches (nevi simplex) are dilated capillaries in the skin. They are not new capillaries or new growths, but leftover patches of the way the blood vessels looked during fetal circulation.

They appear as appear as flat, dull pink patches. They occur most commonly they occur at the nape of the neck (stork bites), between the eyebrows or over the eyelids (angel kisses), or around the nose or mouth.

Did you have this from the time you were born or isit something that happened just five years back? If it is the latter, then it cannot be considered a s a birth-mark.
It could be a sebaceous cyst or some other growth on the nose.

It ie better for you to have it examined since I cannot comment further from the description you have given in your post. If it a salmon patch, no treatment is necessary unless you want it removed for cosmetic reasons.
If it is a cyst, it can be removed surgically.
