another outbreak of folliculitis? pics

another outbreak of folliculitis? pics

i had a similar outbreak about 6 months ago with a few bumps on the underside of my penis shaft. this time i have the bumps on both sides of my thighs and around the area where my pubic hair meets my penis. i have tried washing the area 2-3 times a day with dial antibacterial soap and spread neosporin on the bumps before bed. they stayed persistent for the past few weeks with new bumps forming. there is no itch but if i happen to scratch one they can be a little painful. i had one erupt on my testicle and a small hard yellow/white "head" came out of it and it bled a lot.

i also have to add that the skin on the underside of my penis has always had a shiny waxy look to it with a whole bunch of tiny superficial cysts under the skin on both my penis and scrotum. i have visited my doctor about the problem before and he told me it was a case of folliculitis and my cysts would not be a problem if they were not inflamed. after taking antibiotics the last time i remember always have at least one bump, but never as many as i have now.

i also tried to soak the area with hot water and sea salt. any other methods i can use before i visit the doc again?

i have the exact same thing and the **** they give you doest make it go away does it? i though i had genital warts and i was freaking out, the doc told me if was from shaving and not to be concerned i hada red dot at the base in the exact same spot and it looks the same is t a little raised about the skin? i put this cream **** on it and it doesnt really work but as long as my doc said ti ws ok im gonna go with that i guess , that bump has been there for a looong time to and sometime it looks kinda brownish dark red and sometimes pink? i think we both have the same thing and my advice is to not worry about it too much and just take care of it the best you can its a tough area to deal wih and im still trying to figure out wtf to do with mine even though ive had my doc and my derm tell me its just hair follicles that are ****** up and its like **** under the skin you cant really do anything about its not so much a surface irratation...give me an update and best of luck

i have red bumps that look like that..but i dont think mine are the same thing. mine are all over my body and they itch. and they are very contageous to skin contact. sweating and heat make them inflame and spread FAST! whatever i have its VERY resiliant.

they come and go. i had a few on the shaft of my penis and it took a long while for them to subside. when they do subside they look like they return to being small cysts under the skin. this is the first time i have had them on the inside of my thigh.

i laid off the neosporin. im just going to wash the area with dial soap and see how it turns out. if they persist any longer i will see the doc about it.

its tempting to want to dig into them with a needle. i finally broke down and dug one apart that was on the under side of my scrotum. i ended up breaking the skin with a needle and pulling out what looking like a small yellow/white sac with tweezers. ever since then it shrank up to nothing and seems to have gone away. i dont recommend doing self surgery on them. they bleed a lot and are painful.
