armpit

I have these strange rashes in my armpits. I used to get thrush from my raiser but this isn't the same the rashes are pink in color and they become dry and not itchy but they hurt when my close rub against them I was wondering if I was having an allergic reaction to my deodorant.

Hello,

Underneath my right armpit I had a itchy rash/patch. Unfortuately, I did/do itch it even though I try not to. However, it seems that I am getting more  patches that itch every now and then. The patches/rash are a brown-ish color. I don't know if any of this will help, but I am 21 years old, no known medical problems, Indian and female.

Any help would be great! Thank you!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to contact dermatitis or rash due to friction rub with clothes. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments. Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Kind regards.
