armpits

by michele, Sep 15, 2000 12:00AM
I have had this white bumpy non-itchy rash develop in my armpits about 6 months ago.  My G.P. said it was from shaving and not an infection.  My older sister also went to her G.P. with the same condition and he/she said it was hormones.  Was hoping to get your opinion/advice.  Thank-you.

Tough to say, Michele.  I can't imagine they're anything other than cysts or blocked pores, but for definitive diagnosis, you may want to see a dermatologist.  If they get worse or appear after ahving, you may want to consider waxing or more permanent forms of hair removal, such as laser.

Best.
