Hi there,

I would wait for the rest of your test results to see if you have an STD confirmed, do not go out buying any if the antibiotics that kiran as mentioned to you, you should never take these treatments without a prescription from your doctor who knows your history and any allergies you have, also any contra indications with other drugs you are taking need to be considered... plus for you to buy these drugs without a prescription you have no idea where they came from, if they are what they say they are on the packet because you can't buy them from a legal chemist without a prescription.

So my sugestion is this... please wait for the rest of your results to have confirmed if there is an STD or not.

In the meantime, while you wait for your results you can try to treat this as thrush, as the symtpoms you have described are common in a thrush infection. A thrush infection is an over production of yeast in the vagina and is not an STD, women can get thrush at any time, however, because the intercourse caused you to become sore this can upset the balance of yeast in your vagina causing a thrush infection.

The best thing to try is something called canesten combi which involves a pessary which you insert into the vagina to rebalance your yeasts and a cream that you apply externally to sooth the itching an soreness.

Here is a link to show you what you need to buy http://www.pharmacy2u.co.uk/canesten-combi-p335.html

You can buy this from any pharmacy. The cream can be applied 3 times a day, you are best inserting the pessary before you sleep and then it can work during the night while you are in a laying position.

If you are not suffering from thrush, don't worry this treatment can not cause you any harm. And the cream may still be soothing for you while you await your results.

Regards and best wishes, Dee.

Hello,
From the symptoms it can be contact dermatitis, allergic reaction or fungal infections. Wash the area with fresh water and wear cotton clothes. Apply calamine lotion and take some oral antihistaminic like Benadryl. If the symptoms persist then please get it seen from a dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
