bedbugs or dustmites

I was at walt disney world resorts over two weeks ago, after being outside at night I notice my legs covered in bites.I thouht the blood suckers got me.It has taken two weeks and I still have the bites. They are slowely going away.Recently I have noticed a few new ones.Much smaller tho and they don't itch like the others did.I have been cleaning like crazy looking for bedbugs. My husband never got bite and still hasn't.Our older daughter has slept in my bed and she hasn't either.I have had allergy test in the past and am allergic to dust mite, could I just be having a rash and not bites.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Since the rash is concentrated on the legs, it can be due to insect or chigger bites. Chigger bites present as itchy red bumps on the folds of the skin and ankles. My sincere advice is to get these possibilities evaluated from a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Thank you for your help.I believe I originally have chigger bites. It seems like from what I read. And because I have a compromised immune system I think I am jst having an allergic reaction to dust mites. My allergist had already told me to take precautions against them due to a severe allergy.I mentioned chigger bites to my doctor for my legs and she thinks so too.Thanks.

It could be dustmites, but it could also be chiggers based on your symptoms described.  You may have sat or walked through an infested area, where your husband and child didn't go.  There are a few good websites that come up when you google the word "chiggers" and maybe this can help diagnose the skin condition or at least eliminate from the list of potential causes.  I hope you get relief soon.
