has everyone in your house been checked for scabies? and when he used the elimite did you treat the linens and floors? typically everyone in the household is treated for scabies at the same time. it's sorta like lice.

what about shingles? google shingles images and see if that rings a bell.   shingles lies in nerve endings and can be quite painful .

i would also try an over the counter topical like caladryl. it is soothing and has a mild antihistamine to help with the itch. there is a clear variety so he won't have to be "pink spotted man"

polysporin is a good topical antibiotic to use on the infected sores.

the ped. said the girls didnt have scabies but when looked a my husband said he didnt think that it was scabies and about the shingles its funny you should mention that because i  had shingles at the same time my husband got lots of these little warts all over his body but my dr. said this was not contagious like that. the caladryl works for like 10 min. then he right back in pain . when i had scabies they were clusters do they always appear in clusters cause his are not clustered but at any given time he probably has about 100 warts on his body now some dry up but leave scars that are dark and rough . thanks for writting back so soon your grat and we will try the polysporin

if you go to google and look up shingles you can see how they look. it can be quite varied. another thing to look up is molluscum though i somehow doubt that's the issue.

is his rash more painful, itchy or both ?

hes says more itchy but then it hurts to itch so i guess both . i looked up shingles but they dont look like his then i looked up molluscum they look more like what his do but its very hard to tell because my husband is black and all the pictures show white skin with pink or red and all we see on hisare the white pus like cores his hands and feet are the worst but god they are everywhere he has a dr. appointment this week hopefully they will send him to a derm. but when he asked before he was told to use the elimite agian this is the 4th treatment with no clearing i really feel for him my shingles were bad but luckly they only lasted about 8 days this is like 2 mnths next week anyway thanks for your advice youve been a saint god bless         hutn

i'm sorry i could not help more. i really hope he gets some relief at the doctors. and just a word of advice...if he gets in, and they treat him and it is not helping call and call and call again. once they start seeing you they have to see you through until you are better or another doctor takes over the care. if not it is patient abandonment, so don't get discouraged and lost in the shuffle.

good luck to you and your husband. my heart goes out to him.
