I got a naval peircing that was in for a couple of months before I bought another ring from some craft show. I had soaked the ring in peroxide for a day before putting it in, but it still kept getting infected. I kept putting neosporinNeosporin Neosporin ophthalmic Neosporin ophthalmic ointment on it and it eventually stopped getting infected. However, the skin in front of the peircing got hard and has been slowly shrinking, like the skin behind the peircing is pushing the peircing forward. There wasn't much skin left in front of the peircing, so I just took it out. Now there is a small hole, but the skin is red and hard. Is this normalNormal saline flush, or is there something I can do to help it heal faster? I am using neosporinNeosporin Neosporin ophthalmic Neosporin ophthalmic ointment on it right now.
