birthmark on penis

by calvin68, Mar 30, 2004 12:00AM
hi! I've discolorization on my penis by birth. Half of my penis is light brown while the rest is in my skin tone. It is a birthmark, not anything else for sure.. Is there any way to balance the color to my original skin tone on the penis? I appreciate if you can help me with this problem.

You can't really add color.  What is theoretically possible is to remove the color you have to make the skin one-toned.  You should consult a dermatologist about using a cream called hydroquinone (especially monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone.)  The best doctor to ask would be someone experienced in treating vitiligo--try an academic medical center, if there's one in striking distance.  The treatment can be lengthy and sometimes irritating, so you need to ask yourself whether it's worth it before you start.

Best.
