hi i had laser surgery on my birth mark neva de ota.. and i still see it ..i had 4 treatments already . but the doctor said i need to wait 6 months is this correct

Hello,
Nevus of Ota is a blue-black birthmark commonly seen at birth or developing in the first few years of life.It shows good to excellent response using Ruby, Alexandrite or ND YAG lasers. Multiple treatments are required to eliminate the collections of pigment cells seen deep in the dermis.Hence I agree with your dermatologist that multiple sittings upto 6-7 months are required for complete clearance.

What is the treatment called? I have a nevus of ota as well and getting a laser treatment called vbeam. Is it just as effective?
